BLG Handelslogistik GmbH & Co. KG

The BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. KG has its core competencies in automotive, contract and container logistics. In these three business areas, the corporate group offers fully integrated logistics system services. Its customers include the leading German car manufacturers as well as strong brands from the retail sector. In the trade logistics business segment, located in the CONTRACT division, BLG has been recording steady growth for years. Partly through the development of its existing customers, but also through new customers and new locations. BLG Trade Logistics is one of the first German logistics service providers to participate in the "Lean and Green" initiative of GS1 Germany. BLG LOGISTICS is a growing company that has developed into a globally active logistics operator, with a strong local base. At more than 100 locations in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia, today BLG offers around 16,000 jobs, more than half of this number in Bremen (headquarters) and Bremerhaven. This results in a high level of responsibility for the region.

BIBA – Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH

The BIBA – Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH is an engineering research institute. It was founded in July 1981 as an affiliated department of the University of Bremen and is now one of the greater research institutions in the state. The employees come from very different disciplines, which forms the basis for researching and developing innovative technical and organizational solutions. One of BIBA's core competences is the development of innovative robot solutions and their integration into logistical processes. Another focus of its work is the development and application of artificial intelligence methods and algorithms. With the Computer Vision Lab (VisionLab), BIBA has a service centre for developing and testing innovative applications of image processing and artificial intelligence (e.g. deep machine learning) for production and logistics. It supports the direct transfer from research into practice and is dedicated, for example, to 3D object recognition and human-machine interaction.

FRAMOS GmbH

FRAMOS was founded in 1981 by Mr Bernd Franz. Since the beginning of the nineties, FRAMOS has specialised in image processing solutions and cooperates with worldwide renowned companies in the field of image sensors and cameras. FRAMOS distributes vision components, supports development projects in the field of image processing and develops, installs and maintains image processing solutions and systems. Based on more than 30 years of expertise in image processing, FRAMOS has increasingly established itself as a specialist for special solutions, especially in three-dimensional image processing. Various products, systems and solutions are already successfully in use in the logistics environment and form an optimal technological basis for this project. FRAMOS is not only located in Germany, but also has establishments in England, Italy, France and Canada.

SCHULZ Systemtechnik GmbH

The SCHULZ Systemtechnik GmbH is one of the leading developers of automation solutions for a wide range of industries. The company combines all three disciplines of automation technology - from mechanics to electrical engineering to computer science - and offers the entire value chain from a single source. Solutions are developed that are specially tailored to the respective customer's requirements for companies ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large-scale industry. Extensive synergy effects within the group of companies as well as comprehensive expertise and know-how in the individual sectors and their technologies are significant advantages. In order to sustainably change the production processes of its customers, the high-tech strategy Industry 4.0 is both a claim and a vision for the technology leader and can already be found in some of its products today.
